From Joanna … The harp is a unique and beautiful instrument, but many harpists experience isolation—often being the only one in their orchestra, with limited opportunities to connect with people who understand their instrument. Access can also be a barrier, with aspiring harpists lacking teachers, instruments, or a community to support them. As a Youth Intern, my goal is to help build a safe, inclusive space where harpists of all levels and backgrounds can connect, share, and grow together. Whether someone is just starting, already experienced, or dreaming of playing, I want every harpist or future harpist to feel welcomed, supported, and inspired. We are so excited to have you on our team and can’t wait to see you thrive! __ Youth Interns are high school students age 15-17 years old interested in volunteering either for school credit or to gain valuable work experience. We accept Youth Interns for one and up to four semesters: fall, winter, spring and summer. Fall, winter and spring Interns are expected to volunteer one day a week after school. Summer Interns are expected to volunteer up to three days a week.
