Riza Printup
PRESIDENT
"My hope is to engage and invigorate the North Jersey harp community by helping to create a wide range of educational workshops, performances, outreach opportunities and social events. I intend to do so while upholding and driving the AHS’ objective 'to cultivate, promote, foster, sponsor and develop among its members and the general public the appreciation of the harp as a musical instrument'. I will work to tap into and showcase the amazing and diverse styles and talent in and around the North Jersey area."
-
Edmar Castañeda

-
FRANCES DUFFY
TREASURER
"I hope to support our chapter and our new officers by continuing to serve in a different role. "

GIAN TORRANO JACOBS
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR
“In my role as Community Engagement Coordinator for the North Jersey chapter of the American Harp Society, I hope to cultivate a strong sense of connection and collaboration within our harp community, while inspiring the next generation of harpists.
I’ve long envisioned creating a space where harpists of all backgrounds - queer, trans, BIPOC, neurodivergent, electronic, modern, jazz, contemporary, etc. - can come as they are, without expectations or fear of judgment.
My goal is to create engaging events that celebrate diverse genres and perspectives, while promoting greater awareness of the harp’s versatility and building bridges with new audiences and communities.”
